DESCRIPTION: Court Writers is a group that meets approximately monthly to discuss work, encourage and support each other in their writing. Currently meet each month at Helmsley Arts Centre at 7.30pm on dates specified in the Arts Centre brochure, for poetry and short prose. It is worth checking with the co-ordinator or Helmsley Arts Centre before turning up as the arrangements occasionally vary.

DESCRIPTION: Rye writers recruited originally from members of the Hull University reminiscence writing courses held in conjunction with the Ryedale Folk Museum. The main genre practised is autobiography, including prose and poetry. Meetings are often in the half term and holiday periods. Venues: Museum and Crown Hotel at Hutton le Hole, Appletree Country Inn, Marton.
